Commercial Glazier – Execute High-Volume Installations with an Industry Leader

The Opportunity

Step into a critical role on the front lines of a thriving, private equity-backed commercial glazing company. As a Commercial Glazier, you will run high-volume jobs across Florida, potentially managing field crew on-site and ensuring top-tier craftsmanship. This position gives you the platform to showcase your deep technical expertise with major framing systems and sealants while enjoying premier benefits, a strong safety culture, and stable year-round work.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Coordinate field crews on-site to successfully execute multiple quick-turnaround commercial glass installations each week.
  • Install high-performance storefront, curtain wall, and interior glass systems to exact architectural specifications.
  • Read and interpret architectural plans to accurately identify proper installation locations, elevations, and placements for wall sections.
  • Fabricate and install custom break metal applications for clean, watertight finishes.
  • Apply commercial-grade sealants, including Dow 795/995 products and Tremco 116, ensuring structurally sound and weatherproof seals.
  • Coordinate field logistics and report job needs, progress, and photos directly to management using Dropbox and Procore.
  • Safely operate heavy machinery on-site, including scissor lifts and boom lifts, to complete high-reach installations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols, protecting your crew and equipment at all times.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience as a Commercial Glazier (not a helper).
  • 5+ years of glazier experience specifically within the state of Florida, adapting to local building codes and wind-load environments.
  • Deep installation familiarity with industry-standard framing systems, specifically Kawneer, YKK, and OBE (Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope).
  • Strong proficiency in executing custom break metal detailing and applications.
  • Proven experience applying structural and weatherproofing sealants, specifically Dow 795, Dow 995, and Tremco 116.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, wall sections, and architectural shop drawings.
  • Proven ability to direct, delegate to, and communicate effectively with an on-site installation crew.
  • Strong tech-savviness to communicate job updates and upload documentation via Dropbox and Procore.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license to operate company work vehicles.
  • Physical capability to lift upwards of 150 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Comfort operating scissor lifts and boom lifts at various heights.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Active OSHA certifications (OSHA 10 or OSHA 30), Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift certifications.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, high-growth construction environment.
