The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced mechanical leader to step into a core management role within our executive and leadership team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of high-value commercial projects from pre-construction startup through the end of the warranty period. You will combine deep field knowledge with operational oversight to drive efficiency, maintain strict budget controls, and uphold GW Mechanical’s reputation for making things right.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of commercial mechanical projects, ensuring execution strictly aligns with schedule, contract, and budget parameters.
- Manage pre-construction logistics, including securing building permits, conducting initial staff job setups, verifying long-lead item procurement, and hosting superintendent handoffs.
- Direct field leadership by holding site superintendents accountable for daily reports, labor utilization, safety protocols (JHAs), and job-site efficiency.
- Administer all construction management paperwork, including RFIs, PRs, ASIs, submittals, and field reports.
- Lead contract, subcontract, and change-order management—approving all scope additions and maintaining accurate logs prior to executing work.
- Collaborate closely with General Contractors, owners, and subcontractors during progress and commissioning meetings to ensure seamless site operations and eliminate project delays.
- Partner with the leadership team (General Manager, Area Manager, Office Manager) during weekly project reviews and assist with monthly billings.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the plumbing and mechanical construction industry.
- Active plumbing license per local building authority requirements (Wyoming Master or Journeyman preferred).
- In-depth mastery of commercial construction procedures, materials, project management principles, and quality/safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam, and industry-standard GC project management software (e.g., Procore).
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and team leadership skills with a track record of thriving in a deadline-driven environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience managing multi-million-dollar commercial mechanical projects from startup to closeout.
- Demonstrated track record of moving projects successfully through commissioning and warranty handoffs.
- Strong desire to join a long-term leadership team and mentor rising superintendents and field staff.
