Job Overview

Mr. Electric of Citrus & Marion County is hiring an experienced Electrical Service Professional to complete residential and light commercial electrical service work across Citrus, Marion, Levy, Lake, Sumter, Hernando, Ocala, Leesburg, The Villages, Spring Hill, and surrounding areas.

This is not a helper or entry-level role. We are looking for a dependable, customer-facing electrician who can diagnose issues, explain options clearly, complete quality work, and represent the company professionally in customers’ homes and businesses.

Most work is completed independently from a fully equipped service vehicle. Candidates should be comfortable managing service calls, communicating with homeowners, using field technology, and taking ownership of the customer experience.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Perform residential and light commercial electrical service calls.
• Diagnose electrical issues including tripping breakers, power loss, overloaded circuits, faulty wiring, and panel concerns.
• Complete electrical safety inspections and identify repair or upgrade needs.
• Install and service electrical panels, EV chargers, lighting, fans, generators-related electrical work, smart home components, and related systems.
• Communicate findings clearly to customers and explain repair options in a professional, trustworthy way.
• Price, present, and complete approved service work according to company standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and respectful job sites.
• Use company-provided technology, including ServiceTitan / iPad-based tools, to manage work orders, pricing, scheduling, and customer information.
• Drive a company vehicle and travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Coordinate with teammates when a job requires extra support, such as larger panel work, trenching, pole setting, or other two-person tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical field experience.
• Residential service experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems independently.
• Comfortable working in occupied homes and communicating directly with customers.
• Ability to explain electrical problems, repair options, and pricing clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and clean / acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background and driving checks.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Professional appearance, dependable work habits, and strong customer-service mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, or similar field-service software.
• Prior experience in residential service sales or option-based service presentations.
• Experience with EV chargers, panel upgrades, generators, lighting, fans, and service upgrades.
• OSHA, safety, or trade-related certifications.
• Candidates with both electrical and HVAC service exposure are highly valued.
• Journeyman training or apprenticeship program completion is a plus, but not required.

Service Area

This role supports customers across a large regional service area, including Crystal River, Citrus County, Marion County, Levy County, Lake County, Sumter County, Hernando County, Ocala, Leesburg, The Villages, Spring Hill, and nearby communities.

Technicians may train or attend meetings at the office but can often dispatch from home once assigned a vehicle and route. Candidates must be comfortable with local travel across the service territory.
