The Opportunity:
You will play a pivotal role in securing major civil construction and site work projects throughout the Treasure Coast region. You will turn complex plans into competitive, accurate bids utilizing top-tier industry software within a well-established company. This position offers long-term stability and performance recognition with a firm built on quality and growth.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Analyze civil construction drawings, bid documents, and specifications to establish detailed project parameters.
- Perform precision quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, and paving using Agtek software.
- Build complete unit cost models and winning bid packages using HCSS Heavy Bid.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor proposals to optimize project margins.
- Identify high-risk project variables and formulate actionable value engineering recommendations.
- Maintain detailed historical cost databases to continuously enhance future bidding accuracy.
- Conduct seamless handoffs to field operations and project management teams following bid wins.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of site development and underground utility estimating experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience performing quantity takeoffs in Agtek.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing detailed bid proposals in HCSS Heavy Bid.
- Proven track record of evaluating plans and bid documents for heavy civil infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of civil equipment production rates, labor costs, and site logistics.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical background or professional degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Hands-on field or estimating experience with FDOT, municipal, and commercial site development projects.
- General Florida Contractors License
- Completion of HCSS Academy certification or formal HCSS software training is preferred.
