Inside Sales Engineer – Bridge Technical Design & Mechanical Solutions in NYC


Job Overview:

The Opportunity:

As a core contributor to our commercial sales operations, you will design, quote, order, and track specialized HVAC systems for top-tier engineering firms and mechanical contractors across the NYC Metro area, Long Island, and Westchester. Working hand-in-hand with our Outside Sales team, you will accelerate deal flow, resolve complex technical challenges, and directly influence some of the most dynamic building and district steam projects in New York City.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to streamline project workflows, optimize sales strategies, and elevate client satisfaction.
  • Review engineering design plans and utilize selection software to build tailored HVAC system configurations that meet exact client specs and regulatory standards.
  • Develop comprehensive technical proposals featuring precise pricing, specifications, and system layouts to support contractor decision-making.
  • Oversee full-cycle order management—partnering directly with manufacturers like Armstrong International and Miura Boilers to ensure accurate fabrication and on-time delivery.
  • Establish robust order-tracking systems to proactively identify, communicate, and resolve supply chain delays or logistical bottlenecks.
  • Compile complete submittal and documentation packets, detailing site specifications, operational guidelines, and maintenance manuals for field teams.
  • Facilitate training sessions for clients and operational personnel to ensure seamless system startup, operation, and maintenance.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to complex project challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for interfacing with engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • High degree of collaboration and team-first mindset.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience within the HVAC or mechanical systems industry.
  • Familiarity with engineering design platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary of $50,000 – $65,000 per year with flexibility based on skills and background.
